We’re very pleased to invite you to our ABS business event on Wednesday May 24th 2017 in the auditorium of our campus at the Ruitenberglaan 31 in Arnhem (Get directions and show routes).
This event is part of a sequence where our business school invites business partners, academic partners and our international students to participate in a forum discussion on current business challenges. The theme for this event will be: “Silk Road, business as usual?”
The “New Silk Road” is an infrastructure project expected to significantly accelerate delivery and reduce the cost of goods from China to Europe through Central Asia and the Caucasus. For this project, Beijing established the $40 billion Silk Road fund, as well as the $100 billion Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB).
We have been able to find a mix of key note speakers to assess and discuss the potential consequences of this new Silk Road for business and logistics.
The following key note speakers have confirmed their participation in the event:
- Mr Karl Gheysen – Executive Director Europe Region KTZ Express
- Mr Christiaan van Luik – Policy advisor of ‘Transport en Logistiek Nederland’ (TLN)
- Mr Kees Ruijgrok – Professor Emeritus Transport and Logistics Management (TIAS and Eindhoven University)
- Mr Stef Weijers – Professor of Logistics & Alliances (HAN University of Applied Sciences), and Programme Director ‘Kennis DC Logistiek Gelderland’
- Mr Ron van der Wegen – Senior Director Global Strategic Sourcing of Logitech Europe
